Cuba to demand at the UN an end to the Israeli massacre in Palestine

Cuba will demand the immediate cessation of the Israeli massacre against the Palestinian people, during its participation in the emergency special session of the UN General Assembly on Palestine, an official source informed

In his account on the social network X, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez reassured his country’s firm solidarity with the just cause of the attacked nation and demanded the Zionist government’s adherence to the rules of International Law.

The day before, two resolutions presented by Russia and the United States, respectively, stalled in the Security Council on a failed day to adopt a joint text on the crisis in the Middle East.

The previous meetings also failed to reach consensus in the UN body, even though the main difference between the two drafts was the request for a “humanitarian cease-fire” and a “humanitarian pause” to allow the safe delivery of aid to civilians.

Russia and China vetoed the U.S.-led draft as evasive of a ceasefire.
