Honduran President, Juan Orlando Hernandez, who concludes today his two-day official visit to Cuba, is expected to participate in a race called ‘Hondura Activa’, which will be held at the Jose Marti’s Revolution Square and the emblematic Hotel Nacional de Cuba.
Later and to conclude his stay here, Hernandez and part of his accompanying delegation will travel to the Mariel Special Development Zone, in Artemisa province.

During the meeting, both presidents expressed the common interest of strengthening the working relationships between official and business institutions in promoting tourism and also in enhancing commercial ties of cooperation and investment.
Shortly before the meeting, Hernandez paid tribute to Cuban hero, Jose Marti, with a wreath at the homonymous memorial in Revolution Square in Havana.
During his stay here, the Honduran president also participated in the Cuba-Honduras Business Forum, during which several agreements were signed.
Hernandez’s visit to Havana takes place just two days after delegations from both nations completed the first round of immigration talks, in which they exchanged criteria on consular work and the care of their respective communities living abroad.
