Belgian ambassador, Patrick Van Gheel, thanked the Cuban government and people for their solidarity with his country after the terrorist attacks on Tuesday Mar 22nd, which he described as a sad day for the nation
In a message from the Belgium embassy he said, referring to the pain caused by the explosions that killed 36 people and wounded 270, that “international solidarity offers us the best relief in this difficult moment.”
“We know that the Cuban people are always with us,” the statement continues.
A book of condolences in memory of the victims will be open at the headquarters of the Belgian Embassy in Havana, located at Calle 8 no. 309 e/ 3ra. y 5ta. Avenida, in the Havana neighborhood of Miramar, on Thursday, Mar. 24, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
