Cuba’s most popular salsa and timba orchestra Van Van will offer a show in Puerto Rico as part of a tour of US cities, according to a local music website.

The group will give a one-only performance on August 22 at the Convention Center of San Juan, the capital, announced the journal Suena Cubano in a communique.

As part of its program, Van Van, which arrived Friday to the United States, is scheduled to offer shows in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver New York and Miami,a mong other localities, where thousands of fans are eager to dance to its rhythms.

Founded in 1969 by bassist Juan Formell, who died in May, 2014, the group will tour the US territory with its new 14-song CD La Fantasia.

In year 2000, Van Van was awarded the Grammy award in the salsa category with the CD Llego Van Van.
