Pope Francis Sent Message to Raul Castro while Flying to the U.S.A.

Raul-Papa-aeropuerto-StgoPope Francis promised to pray for peace and prosperity in Cuba, where he  received the respect, affection, and hospitality of the people of the Caribbean nation.

“After my departure from Cuba I want to express my deepest gratitude to Your Excellency and to the Cuban people for the warm welcome to your country”, said His Holiness in a message sent to Cuba President Raul Castro, from the plane that brought him to the United States.

Below full text of Pope Francis’s message:

Message from ALITALIA 4001, to His Excellency Raul Castro Ruz, president of the Council of State and Minister of the Republic of Cuba, Havana:

“After my departure from Cuba I want to express my deepest gratitude to Your Excellency and to the Cuban people for the warm welcome to your country”.

“I invoke the blessing of Almighty God upon you and I promise you all my prayers for your peace and prosperity”.
