Raul Castro Meets Ecuadorian Vice President

President Raul Castro met Ecuadorian Vice President Jorge Glas, who is on an official visit to Cuba, the island’s television news reported. During the fraternal meeting held the eve, both leaders agreed on the need to use all potentialities to further bilateral relations in benefit of the two peoples, and talked about several international issues.

According to the note, the visitor was accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Ricardo Patiño, Ecuador’s ambassador to Cuba Edgar Ponce, and Eduardo E. Mangas, advisor to the vice president.

Cuban First Vice President Miguel Diaz-Canel, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, Minister for Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca, and the island ambassador to Ecuador, Jorge Rodriguez, also attended the meeting.
