Slight Improvement in Venezuelan President Health Condition

The President of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, “experienced a slight improvement in his condition, with a progressive trend,” said today the Minister for Communication and Information, Ernesto Villegas. The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela fulfills the duty to inform the people of Venezuela on the clinical course of President Hugo Chavez after a surgery performed in Havana, Cuba, on December 11.

Commander Chavez continues to meet the rigorous bed rest ordered by the medical team.

The patient experiences a slight improvement in his condition, with a progressive trend.

The President remains in communication with their closest relatives.

He has been studying the results of December 16h elections and is permanently informed about the political, economic and social development.

He is especially pleased with the achievement of the goal of 200,000 homes built this year by the Great Mission Housing Venezuela.

Commander Chavez has ordered pass on all Venezuelans wishes of a Merry Christmas, especially for children, heirs of the New Nation under construction.

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela invited the Venezuelan people to celebrate these holidays in harmony and brotherhood, with faith and optimism, and all united in a prayer for Commander Chavez’s health.
