A South African solidarity with Cuba group on Thursday announced the creation of a website dedicated to the five Cuban antiterrorist fighters unjustly sentenced to long prison terms in the United States since 1998.

Sunny Singh, responsible for the initiative, stated that the website www.cubanfive.wozaonline.co.za will increase and update the information about the legal process against the Cuban Five.

It will also post the international actions for their release, he stated.

Gerardo Hernandez, Fernando Gonzalez, Antonio Guerrero, Ramon Labañino and Rene Gonzalez, the latter under supervised release in the United States, were condemned to harsh sentences for alerting Cuba on terrorist actions by Florida-based terrorist groups.

South Africa, with an extensive movement of solidarity with Cuba, has branches in all nine provinces of the country. (Taken from PL)
