Cuba reiterates solidarity with Venezuela and Nicolás Maduro

The Secretary of Organization of the Communist Party of Cuba, Roberto Morales Ojeda, reiterated this Sunday solidarity with Venezuela and President Nicolás Maduro, in the face of attempts to ignore the results of the presidential elections of last July 28, in that country.

The party leader stated in his profile on the social network X, that the population of the South American nation demonstrated the validity of the lineage of (Simón) Bolívar and the strength of (Hugo) Chávez.

“With the undisputed leadership of President Nicolás Maduro, they have defended the sovereignty and peace of their country against those who are determined to attack and discredit it,” he said in his message.

The Supreme Court of Justice of Venezuela certified last Thursday the victory of President Nicolás Maduro after a formal examination of the results of the presidential elections.

This ruling confirmed that “in an unrestricted and unequivocal manner (…) the bulletins issued by the National Electoral Council are supported by the minutes of the scrutiny issued by each of the machines.”

Venezuela suffered an attempted coup d’état accompanied by a large-scale cyber attack, in the context of the elections of last July 28.
