The Uzbekistan Tigers defeated 4-1 the Cuba Domadores at Tashkent Sports Complex and thus broke the unbeaten status of the Caribbean side in Group A of the 8th World Series of Boxing (WSB).

According to the official website of the contest, Andy Cruz (64 kg) got Cuba’s only win when beating 2-1 for third consecutive time Ikboljon Kholdarov.

In 49 kilograms division, the Rio 2016 Olympic champion Hasanboy Dusmatov won 3-0 over the twice world monarch Johanys Argilagos and the balance between them now favors Dusmatov 3-1.

Meanwhile, the local Shakhobidin Zoirov, Rio 2016 Olympic champion in the 52 kilos -now in 56- defeated also 3-0 the two-time Olympic champion Robeisy Ramirez.

In addition, Israil Madrimov, Asian monarch, won 3-0 and with relative comfort over the Olympic and world monarch Arlen Lopez (75), while Sanjar Tursunov (91) took revenge of the loss he suffered in the 7th WSB to the world holder Erislandy Savon and beat him 3-0 this time.

After this setback, the Domadores now have balance of 11 wins and four losses in the current WSB edition.

The next presentation of the Cuban franchise will be next March 23, against the Venezuela Caciques, as visitors at the Jose Maria Vargas Dome, in Maiquetia city.
