Cuba will promote its tourist offers at the international travel fair ITB Berlin 2016, to be held on March 9-13, it was confirmed by the Ministry of Tourism (Mintur)
This year the fair will devote three days to negotiations among professionals and allocate the last days to the public’s visits.
The Cuban presence will respond to the interest to strengthen links with German collaborators and show the world the variety of destinations in this Caribbean archipelago, specially the potentials in Havana, Varadero, Santiago de Cuba and Cayo Largo del Sur.
Other poles of special value are the northern cays in Villa Clara, Jardines del Rey and Holguin, included among favorite of German travellers.
According to the source, the Cuban delegation will include representatives of Mintur, the International Group of Tour Operators and Travel Agents Havanatur and the hotel groups Gaviota, Cubanacan, Gran Caribe, Islazul and Habaguanex.
Also attending will be travel agencies like Gaviota Tours, Cubatur, Ecotur, Viajes Cubanacan and San Cristobal, and hotel chains associated to the country like Iberostar Hotels & Resorts, and Melia Hotels.
ITB Berlin 2016 will be held at the Messe Berlin fair center and, according to organizers, it will be a showcase of the tourist market megatendencies, linked to the use of information and communication technologies for tourist purposes.
