In a cordial atmosphere, Raúl and Steinmeier highlighted the importance of the first visit to Cuba by a German foreign minister, and exchanged on the broad possibilities for bilateral cooperation, as well as other issues of mutual interest of the international agenda.

During the meeting, the distinguished visitor was accompanied by Peter Rudolf Scholz, ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Jens Plötner, head of the minister’s office, and Thomas Karl Neisinger, ambassador-director general for Latin America and the Caribbean.

The Cuban side was represented by participaron Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, minister of Foreign Relations, Gerardo Peñalver Portal, director general of bilateral affaire, and René Mujica Contelar, Cuban ambassador to Germany.
