Its halls, where local bourgeoisie used to gather long ago, when the building was the headquarters of El Progreso Society, deserve admiration.

Over five decades ago, it was decided to turn the facility into a library, with valuable collections that make up its bibliographical heritage.

That’s why, a program of activities is underway to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the institution, such as the photo exhibition (Vivencias) that shows different moment of the work so far carried out.

Encounters with the library founders, lectures, contest winner announcements, and a closing gala are some other activities included in the commemoration program.
