Sancti Spiritus is currently placed 5th in the Western region with a 15-15 record and 5 games away from leader Matanzas. Artemisa (3×2) and lost the three-game series vs. The Hunters, thus increasing the gap between them and the first placed in the Western standings, Matanzas Crocodiles. Yulieski Gourriel had a great performance in these encounters.

Even when Roosters’ pitching allowed only three hits to their adversaries’ offensive, they couldn’t’ avoid that Hunters win the game by scoring three times, thus, giving Sancti Spiritus its 15th defeat in the tournament.

Miguel Lahera was the winning pitcher, and Jose Angel Garcia saved his 7th game, the second in the subseries vs. Roosters.

Roosters shot 10 hits and the most relevant players were Yunier Mendoza, and the brothers Yuniesky and Yulieski Gourriel, the latter having a great performance vs. Artemisa.

After loosing 5×3 in the first game, Roosters equalled by defeating Hunters on Sunday 8×1 with Ismel Jimenez’ excellent pitching, but then they lost the final encounter 3×2.
