On his account on the social network X, he wrote, “The reinforced blockade seeks that, but socialism is planning, participation and the people in power. All problems will have a response.”

On Wednesday, Minister of Energy and Mines Vicente de la O Levy explained on national television that the availability of fuel in Cuba is complex due to the failure to meet commitments by some suppliers, a situation that should be stabilized next month.

He added that the current situation is influenced by the purchase of crude oil almost daily, thus generating supply gaps, and the economic blockade imposed by the United States limits financing and the arrival of the necessary fuel in Cuba.

On the Mesa Redonda (Round Table) radio and television program, Minister of Economy and Planning Alejandro Gil explained the measures adopted by the Government to overcome this situation, including savings in all sectors, “which does not mean paralyzing the economy, but defining priorities.”

He pointed out that these provisions focused on minimizing the effects on the population and the economy, and to this end, the conditions of each territory are constantly assessed with local authorities.

Gil noted that it is necessary to work with discipline in this scenario, and called on the people to have confidence in the Government that works, from its socialist conception, to provide solutions to the main economic problems.
