On his Twitter account, the president recalled the productive activities in which he participated on Sunday with a group of members of the organization to commemorate its anniversary.

“Congratulations and thank you. For the inspiration and for the joy. Being young is an attitude,” he tweeted.

The leader also shared a phrase by the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, about young people and their role as followers of the political-social process that Cuba is defending.

Earlier, the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), of which Diaz-Canel is the first secretary of its Central Committee, also honored the UJC.

“Lots of health, energy, love, spirit and creative resistance to continue making Revolution, to continue forging the most just society possible with you as leading players of the present and the future. We believe in you. Only this way #VamosConTodo”, the political organization published on its Twitter account.

The UJC was created by Fidel Castro on April 4, 1962, a year before, on the same date the Jose Marti Pioneers Organization had been constituted.

Although the organization groups the young political vanguard of the country, its area of action extends to all sectors of the new generations through the call for tasks of economic and social impact.
