Cuba denounced the presence of people who were not members of the Cuban delegation officially accredited for the event
Members of the Cuban delegation to the 5th Forum of Youths from the Americas denounced the presence of counterrevolutionaries from their country accredited here with the objective of defamating about the reality on the Caribbean island.
Ronal Hidalgo said that during the accreditation process for the event they verified that three youths without legitimacy and affiliation to any organization were registered as delegates.
Those ‘people’ were registered in alleged Cuba’s representation, despite the fact that they are hired by counterrevolutionary organizations financed from abroad, the member of the delegation representing Cuba’s legitimate civil society noted.
He recalled that since the beginning of the organization of the forum, fees were granted to Cuban youths so that only 10 young people from the island could participate and only 150 delegates would be accepted in total, Cuban Doctor Nirza Garcia Valdes stated.
We notice that there are 206 accredited youths, and we denounce at the accreditation desk in front of the organizing authorities that we will not allow one more lie by the Organization of American States (OAS) in Peru, Hidalgo said.
They are young people who do not represent any Cuban organization or youths, they lack legitimacy, and they did not participate in the preparatory forum convened by the organizing committee and held at the University of Havana with young people who discussed openly, he noted.
We warn the organizing authorities for the event that we are not in favor of that decision taken by them, they are demonstrating ingenuity in this case and we know there is nothing naive about it, he stressed.
