Until April 19, at least 1,000 delegates and about 280 guests will participate in the sessions of the meeting, whose agenda will include the Main Report to the delegates, the discussion of documents in four commissions and the election of the maximum leading bodies of the party.

In that context, the delegates will debate the conceptualization of Cuba’s socialist economic and social model, and will discuss the 2030 development plan and the nation’s vision, axes and strategic sectors, as well as the implementation of the Guidelines approved in the 6th Congress and their update for the next five-year period.

Participants will also discuss the materialization of the Party’s working objectives since the First Conference held in 2012.

So far, the PCC, founded in 1965, has held six congresses in 1975, 1980, 1986, 1991, 1997 and 2011.
