Solidarity will speak out again for the four Cuban anti-terrorist fighters held in US prisons since 1998. Over 300 delegates from 45 nations will attend the 9th Meeting for their Liberation and against Terrorism, which will run Wednesday through Sunday in Holguin.
Isabel Fernandez, delegate of the Cuban Friendship Institute in Holguin said that the delegates will be briefed on the current situation of four Cubans still imprisoned in US jails, they will evaluate activities that have taken place since the last meeting and debate new approached to their being freed.
After they monitored US based terrorist organizations, Gerardo Hernandez, Ramón Labañino, Fernando Gonzalez and Antonio Guerrero, along Rene Gonzalez, were imprisoned and sentenced by a biased Miami courtroom. Rene Gonzalez is the only one of the five Cubans to have returned home.
Fernandez said that the upcoming forum will be the spearhead of new activities world-wide for the liberation of the Cubans.
One of the main features of the forthcoming meeting will be the visit by the delegates to the five universities in Holguin province and exchanges with social networks.
