Due to the proximity of Tropical Storm Isaac, the Cuban central provinces of Sancti Spiritus, Ciego de Avila, Cienfuegos, Villa Clara, and Matanzas have been declared under the so-called information phase.
Cuban Civil Defense authorities issued the second press release on the possible route of Tropical Storm Isaac. According to the note, the island’s central provinces of Sancti Spiritus, Ciego de Avila, Cienfuegos, Villa Clara, and Matanzas have been declared under the so-called information phase.
As it was stated in the TV news, the territories from Guantanamo to Camaguey are already on the alert phase, due to the proximity of the meteorological event to the Caribbean Sea waters near Cuba.
Authorities from these territories should make evaluations of possible damages in their respective territories, while adopting appropriate measures to protect the people and the economic resources.
State bodies, economic entities, social institutions, and the population in general, must be very attentive to the news from de meteorology institute, and the civil defense.
