Cuba is showing its most renewed tourist product during the 51st edition of the International Tourism Exchange, ITB 2018, taking place in its usual venue in Berlin.
This is a sun and beach modality with an improved hotel industry to the demands of the international standards, as well as circuit products, nature and culture, highly demanded by the German market, according to a statement from the Cuban Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR).
The destination is present with a 176-square-meter stand, with a modern design that shows our Cuban identity, accompanied by good music and Cuban cigar that German participants and the rest of the world could enjoy until March 11, the MINTUR’s note stresses.
The island’s delegation is chaired by Tourism Minister, Manuel Marrero.
Directors of the main Cuban hotel chains (Gran Caribe, Cubanacan Hotels, Islazul, Gaviota) and the Travel Agencies of the tourist and cultural sector, as well as the associated Meliá International, Iberostar, Blue Diamond and Resorts, Roc Hotels, Sercotel Hotels, Hotel Manzana Kempiski, among others, are also participating.
The German market closed 2017 as Cuba’s fourth market, with a record 243,408 visitors, ‘an important figure for the Cuban tourism,’ the statement said.
