At Havana’s Convention Center, deputies will discuss, with a view to its adoption, the report by the Committee for Economic Affairs
referred to the implementation of the State Budget and the Economy Plan corresponding to 2015, and will know more about the country’s plans for 2016.

The top legislative organ will also receive, as usual, an update on the
progress of the Guidelines of the Socioeconomic Policy adopted at the Sixth Congress of the Cuban Communist Party in 2011, and will elect the lay judges of the Supreme Court.

From Saturday to Monday, the over 500 deputies held exchanges on the performance and prospects of strategic measures and programs to benefit the population and the economy, its problems and shortcomings, and how to solve them.
