The 44th European solidarity-with-Cuba brigade, named after Cuban National Hero Jose Marti, will pay tribute to Ernesto Che Guevara in Villa Clara, and to Camilo Cienfuegos, in Yaguajay, said sources from the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).

The visitors, mostly young people coming from Italy, Russia, Turkey, Spain, and Switzerland, will stay in central Cuba from July 16th to 20th.

They were officially welcomed at Julio Antonio Mella International Camp, in the western province of Artemisa.

Once in Sancti Spiritus, the group will meet with grassroots organizations, and will be invited to tour the southern village of Trinidad.

They will also honor Jose Marti, and the martyrs of the 26th of July actions. Likewise, they will join their voices to the call for the release of Cuban antiterrorist fighters Gerardo Hernández, Antonio Guerrero, and Ramón Labañino.
