Raul Castro Back in Cuba from ALBA Summit

Cuban President Raul Castro arrived in Havana from Venezuela, where the XI Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of our Americas took place.  Important issues such as the economic armor of the nations of the area, were addressed in the meeting.

At Jose Marti International Airport, the dignitary and the delegation accompanying him to the meeting, were received by the first vice president of the Caribbean nation, Jose Ramon Machado Ventura and Army General Abelardo Colome.

The meeting of the integrationist bloc convened by the President of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, addressed issues such as the economic armor of the nations of the area.

During the meeting were adopted anti-colonial initiatives among which stands out a special declaration on the inalienable right of the people of Puerto Rico to self-determination and full independence.

The members of the body also supported the legitimate claim of Argentina to its sovereignty right over the Falkland Islands, South Georgia and South Sandwich and the surrounding maritime areas. (Taken from PL).
