The court issued a formal extradition order in a hearing Wednesday, leaving UK Home Secretary Priti Patel to approve his transfer to the U.S. after a years-long legal struggle.

According to reports from London, Julian Assange is still able to appeal the decision.

If sent to the United States to face charges of “treason” for publishing classified files that revealed war crimes by the U.S. and its allies, he could be sentenced to 175 years in prison.
