Ramón Labañino in Argentina for Working Visit

In his 1st day in Buenos Aires, Labañino had a meeting with members of the Cuban diplomatic mission

Cuba National Hero Ramon Labañino, vice president of the National Association of Economists and Accountants of Cuba (ANEC), kicked off a working visit in Argentina Wednesday accompanied by ANEC Vice President Amelia Caridad Lopez Victoris.

In his 1st day in the Argentinean capital Labañino —who was unfairly imprisoned in the US together with his comrades Gerardo Hernández, René González, Antonio Guerrero and Fernando González— had a meeting with members of the Cuban diplomatic mission.

Labañino shared opinions on the transformations Cuba is now undergoing as part of the process of improving its own economic and social system, and highlighted the role of the ANEC to implement training and supervising programs, for the successful development of non-state (private) entrepreneurial endeavors now expanding in Cuba.

In the meeting, he highlighted the increasing participation of the non-state sector in the economic development and the national budget, as well as the will of the Cuban State to keep on supporting this process, respecting the current juridical framework.
