Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez is in New York to participate in the high-level segment of the United Nations General Assembly, scheduled from September 10 to 25.
Rodriguez, who arrived in New York on Saturday, is expected to speak at the forum on Thursday, when he will denounce the continuation of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba for more than 55 years, and will demand a new world order marked by justice and equality.
In addition to speaking at the General Assembly, made up of 193 member countries on equal conditions, the Cuban foreign minister will have a busy agenda, including several meetings.
The main topic of the forum this year is seeking peace and a decent life for each inhabitant of the planet in the framework of the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development.
