This year’s International Crafts Fair Crafts (FIART) has now opened at the PABEXPO exhibition hall, in western Havana.
The fair features crafts from Cuba and other parts of the world and this year welcomes exhibitors from Portugal and Haiti, along with participants from 18 other nations such as Spain, Italy, Canada, India, Argentina and Ecuador.
The event is dedicated to the south-central province of Cienfuegos and to textiles as an artistic expression. Fashion shows will be held as well as displays by Cuban designers.
The 20th edition of FIART, which will be held until December18th, takes place under the theme ‘Art, Utility and Trade’.
The fair is organized by the Cuban Fund for Cultural Assets.
