A discussion on the process of computerization in Cuba will be the center of interest at the International Convention and Fair “Informatica 2016”, started this Monday in Havana
According to the website, the event, which will be attended by 300 experts from more that 30 countries, as well as Cuban officials, will include a keynote speech by the Deputy Minister of Communications, Jose L. Perdomo, entitled ‘Connecting societies’.
There will also be a trade fair covering the areas of: IT solutions, telecommunications, software, electronics, automation and medical equipment.
Organized by the Ministry of Communications, the fair has 13 events, among them the 3rd International Conference on Computer Science and Informatics, the International Information Technology Congresses in Health and Education, as well as the 7th Symposium on Telecommunications.
Around 318 exhibitors from 14 countries are participating in business discussion as part of the conference. The aim is to create alliances between national organizations and international businesses, which are interested in investing in the Cuban technological sector.
Informatica 2016 will run until Friday 18th of and is being held at Havana’s Conference Center. The trade fair is being held at PABEXPO exhibition center, both are located in the west of Havana.
