French President François Hollande met today with Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, who is on an official visit to this country.
Hollande and Rodriguez held a constructive dialogue in which they expressed the mutual willingness to advance and strengthen bilateral relations in all sectors of common interest, officials from the delegation accompanying Rodriguez told Prensa Latina.
The Cuban foreign minister and his French peer Laurent Fabius are holding a meeting this afternoon. According to sources, it is scheduled during a working lunch. Later, both officials will make a statement to the press.
Fabius visited the Latin American country in April 2014, for the first time in 30 years of a French official of his rank to the Caribbean nation.
Rodriguez is concluding today his visit to France, which is part of a tour that will take him to other European Union countries.
