Fidel Castro Backs Nicolas Maduro’s Position against US Threats

Cuban Revolution leader sent Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro a letter related to his statements on the most recent US threats against the Bolivarian nation.

In his letter, Fidel Castro congratulates Maduro for his “brilliant and valiant discourse” in the face of the “brutal plans” of the US government. He said that Maduro’s words will be recorded by history as a proof that humanity can and must know the truth.

The letter comes on the heels of Maduro´s statements on Monday rejecting the executive order by the US administration declaring Venezuela a threat to US national security and applying sanctions on seven Venezuelan officials.

The Cuban government also issued a communiqué fully supporting the Bolivarian Revolution, the Venezuelan people and government in the face of the US threats.
