NAM: Cuba Denounces New U.S. Subversive Actions

Cuba denounced at the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) new actions by the U.S. government to destabilize the island, diplomatic sources informed today.

According to the Cuban Permanent Mission at the United Nations, the representation delivered here to NAM, comprised of 120 countries, the accusation that reflects recent plans financed by USAID (United States Agency for International Development), aimed at promoting internal subversion.

U.S. media revealed a new USAID plan consisting on recruiting young Latin Americans since 2009 to incite Cuban youth sectors to act against constitutional order endorsed by the island’s people.

The Caribbean country drew the NAM solidarity rejecting the U.S. actions.

The Cuban Mission at the UN recalled at a press release that Washington’s destabilizing plans violate the Non-Aligned principles, particularly the respect to the States’ sovereignty and the non-interference in internal affairs.

Trough a cell phone messaging service, that social network, active until 2012, included Cuban users’ profiles by gender, ages, preferences and affiliation, to be used with political purposes.
