Cuban Parliament’s President Esteban Lazo welcomed his counterpart of the Senate of Saint Lucia, Claudius J. Francis, to promote legislative relations.
During the meeting, held at the headquarters of Cuba’s National Assembly of People’s Power, Lazo and Francis highlighted the magnitude of bilateral ties in various fields.
Francis thanked Cuba’s warm reception and its government for the cooperation and assistance in the training of health professionals from his country.
The leader of Saint Lucia’s Senate is on an official visit to Cuba from July 6-11 in order to fulfill a program aimed at strengthening and expanding relations between the legislative bodies.
The agenda also includes visits to Cuban institutions and historic sites, among other places.
