President Raul Castro met with the former presidents of Dominican Republic, Leonel Fernandez, and Guatemala’s Alvaro Colom, who attended the Third International Conference for World Equilibrium.
In the meeting with Fernandez, the former president and Raul Castro showed satisfaction with the friendly relations between the two countries and prospects for development.
They also exchanged on other issues of regional and international interest, among them Cuba’s presidency of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States.
In the meeting with Colom, both leaders verified the good state of relations between Cuba and Guatemala.
The former Guatemalan president and Raul Castro also discussed on common interest issues of the international agenda.
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez and Deputy Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra Diaz participated in both meetings
