The president of the Council of State and Ministers will attend the meeting, starting June 20 through 22 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the daily stated.

The forum is the follow-up to the UN’s 1992 Earth Summit and other high-level meetings that on sustainable development matter have been held in the last 20 years.

The Cuban delegation also comprises Council of Ministers Vice President Miguel Diaz-Canel, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, and Elba Rosa Perez, Minister for Science, Technology and Environment.
