The 400- room three-floor hotel will significantly increase hotel accommodation in the Ancón peninsula, in addition to the 652 rooms of Trinidad del Mar, Ancón and Costasur resorts altogether
The earthmoving stage for the construction of the Meliá Trinidad Hotel, in the central Cuban province of Sancti Spiritus, has already been completed. This will be the first hotel in this territory to be opened under the administration of the Spanish chain Meliá Hotels International.
The resort, to be built near the María Aguilar Beach, will become for some time the largest facility of its kind in the territory —taking into consideration the scheduled investment program— , said Reiner Rendón Fernández, delegate of the Ministry of Tourism ( Mintur ) in Sancti Spiritus.

The new facility will be owned by the Cubanacán SA group, and will be run under the all-inclusive system in accordance with the four-star plus category.
