Raul Castro and Vo Van Thoung exchanged about the excellent bilateral relations and the intention to deepen them
The First Secretary of the Cuban Communist Party (PCC), Raul Castro Ruz, received Vietnamese leader, Vo Van Thoung, with whom he exchanged about the excellent bilateral relations and the mutual intention to deepen them, Granma newspaper reported today.
Vo Van Thoung, a member of the Political Bureau and the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and president of its Propaganda and Education Commission, is carrying out an official and friendly visit to Cuba.
José Ramón Machado Ventura, second secretary of the PCC Central Committee; and Jorge Arias, second chief of the International Relations department, attended the visitor’s meeting with Raul Castro, who is also the president of the Councils of State and Ministers of Cuba.
Vietnamese ambassador to Cuba, Nguyen Trung Thanh, who is also the vice president of the Foreign Affairs department at the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, and Phan Hai, general director of the Middle East, Africa and Latin America department, also participated.
Granma stresses that both sides exchanged about the excellent state of the relations that unite both peoples, parties and governments, and ratified the mutual will to continue deepening them.
