The Cuban leader, Fidel Castro, sent commemorative post cards to the island’s health collaborators providing services in Bolivia, on the occasion of New Year Day and the 54th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution.The Cuban ambassador in La Paz, Rolando Gomez, and the National Coordinator of the Cuban Medical Brigade in Bolivia, Midalys Castilla, will deliver on Monday the postcards to the 720 members of the Cuban medical staff in that South American country.

On January 1st 1959 the rebel militias, led by Fidel Castro, toppled the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista, who had seized Cuba’s presidential seat after a coup d’etat on March 10, 1952.

  1. I hope his postcards got there! I sent 20 postcards frm Varadero in November 2012 and NOT ONE of them have arrived (per 23 jan 2013)!!

    • Sorry to hear about that. Don’t understand what might had happened. Too many postcards to be lost at the same time!!!
