The leader recalled the priority given by the country’s top leadership to the exceptional situation that came to pass in this territory.

Accompanied by Jose Ramon Monteagudo, member of the Central Committee and first secretary of the Party in Sancti Spiritus, and Teresita Romero, president of the Provincial Assembly of the People’s Power, Lazo covered a segment of the currently interrupted Managuaco-Siguaney road, and visited the Zaza dam runoff area and the Angel Montejo rice mill in the capital city.

He was informed about the damages reported on the province’s major roads, specially the Trinidad-Meyer branch line in the Escambray Mountains, a very complex job to be performed.

During his visit to the Zaza reservoir, Lazo Hernandez emphasized on the need to raise peoples’ awareness concerning the reasonable use of water.
