After beating Matanzas 5×2, Sancti Spiritus added to some other four squads that share the second place in the general standings of Cuba’s 52 baseball national season, with a 7-4 record.

Lead by good pitching of lefty Yamichel Perez, Roosters scored the decisive 4 runs in the 5th thanks to Frederich Cepeda, Eriel Sanchez, and Yunieski Gourriel, the best men of their team.

Crocodiles fought till the end, but relievers Yoanni Hernandez, Yoen Socarras and Omar Guardarrama close the great performance of Sancti Spiritus hurlers, who work currently for a 2, 20 ERA.

Thus, Cienfuegos, Matanzas, Isla de la Juventud, Camaguey and Sancti Spiritus chase the leader in the standings, the Indians from Guantanamo (9-2).
