Local sources explained to Escambray that traditional circuits in the tourist destination are maintained and are expected to be given a boost. A new operation with the American visitors is planned which includes tours to Trinidad city and to the Valle de los Ingenios (Valley of the Sugar Mills). Other groups are being prepared to remain in the Hotels Iberostar Trinidad, Brisas Trinidad del Mar, and Complex Cuevas-Ronda.

According to statistics, visitors’ arrivals represent an increase of 11, 5% when compared to the previous year, specifically foreign visitors have increased in 19 437.

Many actions benefit tourism in the province: the transportation destined to excursions was ameliorated, Palmares Chain carried out a process of changing in all its facilities and the restaurant Trinidad Colonial reopened after total repairing.

Facilities in the Ancon Peninsula were also given a maintenance and preservation boost, and some other hotels were added: La Ronda, which belongs to Cubanacan Chain, and El Meson del Regidor, Palmares’ property.
