In the process, scheduled from February 19 to March 3, the 16 teams will be formed and the stadiums will be evaluated to be declared ready.
The CNB directors will also present the sport’s calendar for 2024 and its main requirements.
The occasion will be propitious for the presentation of legal issues related to the statutes of the Cuban Baseball and Softball Federation, contracts, the disciplinary regime of the competitive system and the control of the development strategy during 2024.
The tour will take place in two moments. First, in the provinces of Pinar del Río, Artemisa, Mayabeque, Matanzas and Havana, where all issues will be dealt with except for the preparation of the teams, since they are very distant from the beginning of the 63rd National Baseball Series. This objective will be fulfilled in a second moment.
The members of the CNB will work on February 19 in Matanzas and Mayabeque, on February 20 in Pinar del Río and Artemisa and on February 21 in Havana. The second stage of the tour is scheduled from February 27 to March 5.
On the 27th the debates will take place in Sancti Spíritus and Ciego de Avila, on the 28th in Camagüey and Las Tunas, and on the 29th in Holguín. On March 1, Guantanamo, Santiago de Cuba and Granma; on March 2, Villa Clara and on March 3, Cienfuegos.
Havana will host three courses of interest for the 63rd Series: preparation of scorers and codifiers (February 28 and 29), umpires (March 3 to 8) and team directors and provincial commissioners (March 6 and 7). The congress will also be held in the capital city.The 63rd Series will kick off on March 9 at the Julio Antonio Mella Stadium, the “headquarters” of the champion Las Tunas.
