The mobilizations, which on this date are massive, take place after two years of suspension due to the Covid-19 pandemic, currently under control on the island with the lowest number of contagions in many months.
The parades were called by the Cuban Tradeunion Federation, with the support of mass and social organizations.

Once again, the anniversary is accompanied in Cuba by hundreds of friends and activists from other parts of the world, who participated on Saturday in stands set up in different work centers to express themselves against the U.S. blockade against the Caribbean nation.

Since the early hours of Sunday, thousands of residents of Havana began to converge on the Paseo thoroughfare in the Vedado district in preparation for the parade.

The celebration in Havana will be led by the leader of the Revolution, Raul Castro, and the President of the Republic, Miguel Diaz-Canel.
