The Alazanes of Granma defeated on Tuesday the Criollos of Caguas from Puerto Rico in the last game of the preliminary stage of the Caribbean Baseball Series held in the Mexican city of Jalisco.
Cuban relief pitcher, Leandro Martinez obtained the victory, did not allow a hit or walk, and struck out two batters in four innings.
The Cuban team, represented by the Alazanes of Granma scored once in the third inning, two in the fifth , one in the 7th and two in the 8th inning, while the Puerto Rican team (Criollos de Caguas) got their runs in the 1st
inning with one and two in the second.
