The Habano Festival, a highly prestigious international event, brings together in Havana until next March 2, delegates from more than 50 countries who will learn about the latest news of this Cuban product.
The event was started Monday start with the trade fair, meeting and exchange point between Cuban and international experts, including manufacturers, businessmen, artists and gourmet products.
On the welcome night at El Laguito reception room, guests tasted the new cigar named Cohiba Reserva Cosecha 2014, which had a unique edition of five thousand numbered boxes.
Also, another of the brands that will have a special role in this 20th edition of the Festival is Partagas, through its line Maduro, which will exhibit new vitolas.
The program includes visits to tobacco plantations in Pinar del Rio province and factories producing the main novelties of 2018, where participants will learn about the entirely handmade making process of a premium cigar in Cuba.
There will also be classes and lectures given by recognized experts in the world of cigars, in addition to the traditional Habanosommelier International Contest and the Habanos World Challenge, the latter will be held for the first time.
