The media professionals ratified their commitment to be faithful to their legacy through a better exercise of the profession
With a minute of silence in memory of Antonio Moltó Martorell, the journalists from Sancti Spiritus joined to the tribute being paid in the country after the death of the national president of the Union of Journalists of Cuba (UPEC).
During a simple ceremony held in Radio Sancti Spíritus, where Alfonso Noya, president of the Cuban Radio and Television Institute was present, the participants remembered the Moltó’s merits throughout nearly half a century of journalistic work and ratified their commitment to be faithful to their legacy through a better exercise of the profession.
While the news of the death of the national president of the Union of Journalists of Cuba (UPEC) spread through the territory on Tuesday morning, colleagues from different media outlets in this central Cuban province insist on the example of Moltó for all generations of journalists and especially for the radio producers.
The tribute to Antonio Moltó in Sancti Spíritus has also been joined by the main political and government authorities, as well as by ordinary citizens identified with his work, his example and the revolutionary journalism that he always defended.
