The number of new teachers to graduate throughout Cuba at the end of the present school year to join preschool, primary and special education totals 4,598
Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences Enia Rosa Torres, director for Teachers’ Training with the Ministry of Education (MINED), stressed that this is the third graduation from the country’s pedagogical schools since their reopening in 2010.
As a result of their work, teachers graduated from their classrooms total 14,200, and the graduation of the new group will be dedicated to the 90th birthday of the historic leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro, and to the 55th anniversary of the Literacy Teaching Campaign.
The first graduation of English Language teachers of primary education, with a total of 350 young people, will also take place.
Torres informed that for the 2016-2017 school year plan of entrance to pedagogical schools is of 8,194 students.
