As it neared its end, the race for the Oval Office seemed to end Monday in the same angry tone it began, with Trump calling Clinton a “phony” and Clinton accusing him of splitting the country
Voting in the U.S. presidential elections is underway in several states across the country just hours after the two nominees, Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump, made their last push in swing states in hopes of securing the White House.
As it neared its end, the race for the Oval Office seemed to end Monday in the same angry tone it began, with Trump calling Clinton a “phony” and Clinton accusing him of splitting the country.
With surveys indicating a tight race in Michigan, which Democrats have long counted on winning, both candidates made campaign appearances there Monday. Pennsylvania, another swing state, was also seen as fertile ground by both camps in the closing hours of their campaigns.
A poll by Reuters/Ipsos late Monday showed Clinton with a 90 percent chance of winning, on track to win up to 303 Electoral College votes out of the 270 needed, to Trump’s 235.
