The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbáyev is paying an official visit on April 2, during which he will hold talks with Cuban President Raul Castro
An article on Granma newspaper explains that Nazarbayev will also carry out other activities on his official agenda.
Born in April 1940, Nazarbayev made an outstanding political career which included being president of the Council of Ministers
of the former Socialist Soviet Republic of Kazakhstan and First Secretary of the Communist Party Central Committee.
He was first elected president of his country in 1990 and since then he has been reelected head of state up to the present.
In the latest presidential elections in Kazakhstan, April 2015, Nazarbayev was elected head of state by a 97, 75 percent of
voters.
