Cuba´s tourism minister Manuel Marrero opened the 35 International Tourism Fair in the resorts on the keys off Ciego de Avila province, central Cuba.
Minister Marrero welcomed participants in the company of Italy´s undersecretary of state Francesca Barracciu and Carlos Vogeler, senior official with the World Tourism Organization.
Hundreds of tour-operators, business people, travel agents and journalists from 40 nations of the world will be meeting till Thursday at the fair, underway at the Melia Jardines del Rey hotel, which is was recently opened by Cuba´s Gaviota Hotel Chain and it is under Spain´s Melia hotel chain management.
